Spring onions are also known as scallions or green onions.
Both the long, slender green tops and the small white bulb are edible, and are good either raw or cooked.
They have a similar flavour to onions, but are much milder and contain vitamin A to maintain healthy organ functioning, vitamin C to strengthen the immune system, and vitamin K to promote faster wound healing, other nutrients including calcium, potassium, antioxidants, phosphorus, magnesium, and copper.
